Highlights during cycling
The Oerd is an impressive nature reserve on Ameland and is therefore part of Natura 2000. At 24 metres, the Oerdblinkert is the highest dune on the island.
On Ameland, you will find many old buildings, the oldest of which was built in 1561. You can find these old buildings and cottages in all four villages!
The Ameland lighthouse is a remarkable sight. It is no less than 57 metres high and from the top you have a view of the entire island.
