How does cancellation work at Experience Ameland?
You have booked a holiday stay with Experience Ameland and unfortunately can no longer come. How does cancellation work at Experience Ameland and what are your rights? All the necessary information about cancellation can be found on this page.
This concerns a normal booking and not last-minute bookings with arrival within a week.
Rental agreement
When you book holiday accommodation, you enter into a rental agreement with the owner of the holiday accommodation as the tenant. Waddenreisburo mediates in the search for holiday accommodation and in the conclusion of this agreement, but is not a party to this agreement between the tenant and the owner. Once an agreement has been entered into, the tenant and owner are bound by this agreement.
Terms and conditions
All agreements we draw up are subject to the terms and conditions, which you can view and must accept when making a booking request. In addition, there may be house-specific conditions. These are referred to in the confirmation letter. By paying, you agree once again to all the terms and conditions.
Confirmation letter
In the confirmation letter, we advise you to take out cancellation insurance and refer you to the general terms and conditions and the house-specific terms and conditions. If you do not take out cancellation insurance, you consciously choose to risk losing your money if you have to cancel unexpectedly.
Remaining payment
Have you made a deposit and are you unsure about making the remaining payment because you are not sure whether your holiday can go ahead? Formally, you are obliged to pay the remaining amount in accordance with the rental agreement.
Cancellation
If you want to cancel your booking and you have taken out cancellation insurance, you must contact your insurer. Depending on the reason for cancellation and the policy conditions, the insurance may or may not pay out. If you need anything from us (sometimes a cancellation invoice is requested), you can contact us by email. In accordance with the rental agreement, you are not entitled to a refund of the rental fees already paid.
